Sargatanas continues to watch over the womanizing Astaroth, who may be falling in love with his servant.
Well the volume opens rather...interestingly. There's an odd amount of focus on those little angel hair balls. I mean they're cute but...okay. From the start we spend a bit of time getting to know Sargatanas a bit better, bless her she just wants to go to the theme cafe for those weird little angel hair balls, and she really doesn't know how to do inconspicuous. It was nice to see a softer side of her, and it made her a bit more relatable. Meanwhile good old Mullin upsets Beelzebub.
This volume we meet Morrigan and learn more about the structure of Pandemonium, plus we get to meet Lilim who's trying to get hired into the Succubus division and her target to make that happen is Mullin. Of course. He's her target for her final exam and she's got all the time in the world to pull it off. Although Mullin being Mullin he's totally oblivious and Beelzebub might not appreciate it. I'm anticipating her popping up every now and again, fruitlessly trying to get his attention.
I thought we where going to get the generic beach scene, but I was pleasantly surprised with how it played out. Although it does serve to get Mullin to finally act his age, I never thought I'd hear him say the words "bro" and "cut abs" in the same sentence. And oh my lord, Belphegor nearly does the Thing. SO CLOSE.
This volume gives us a lot more cute, little fluffy moments as well as hilarity. Beelzebub wants to get to know more about Mullin but isn't sure how to find out and we could have another ship on the horizon with Sargatanas and Astaroth who, let's be real, I've been shipping since day one. I enjoyed the focus on Sargatanas, it brought her to life more, and made her easier to relate to by seeing different sides of her, like the fact she's so worried about how she seems on the outside.

As the archdemon Beelzebub's attendant, Mullin is constantly reminded of just how quirky his boss can be. However, he's quickly learning that Beel is not the only eccentric running Pandemonium! Whether it's the frivolous playboy Astaroth, the perpetually sleepy Dantalion, or Eurynome and her...dangerous tastes, it's a wonder anything gets done at all!
Honestly, Volume 2 cracked me up from the start. Poor old Beelzebub has it tough, trying to work out which fluffy thing she'd hug first. Hard life, isn't it?
This volume expands on our cast of characters and introduces us to more of the colourful personalities residing in Pandemonium. Eurynome...well she's a bit creepy isn't she? Bless her. Although I did chuckle when she slapped Astaroth back down to size verbally, because he did need it a little bit.
We also meet Dantalion, the head of the library and literally me! He stays up all night reading....that's pretty much what I do all the time. I think he might be my new favourite! Or one of them anyway! And then we have Molech, who's...excitable. Bless him. Plus we have Adramelech the wardrobe specialist.
Perhaps the most adorably entertaining part of the volume was Belphegor trying to confess to Azazel, bless her. She plots a scheme to get close to him that involves cooking, so she ropes in Beelzebub to help out too along with Nisroch, Beelzebub's chef. Because they need professional supervision obviously. She actually manages to make a little bit of progress with her crush though! I also really liked getting to see more of she and Beelzebub's friendship, they're so cute!
I honestly ship Belphegor and Azazel so much, not to mention Mullin and Beelzebub and they have some cute moments this volume as the romance moves along! The romance aspect wasn't something I was actually expecting, I was expecting a funny slice of life with demons, and it is that...but there's also the romance element and I'm living for it because of all the fluff! Not to mention the art, that's completely gorgeous!

Beelzebub--the formidable right hand of Satan--commands fear and respect throughout Pandemonium. What her underlings don't realize, though, is that she's an airhead with a love for all that is fluffy and adorable! The only thing she might enjoy more is teasing her new attendant, Mullin, who is learning that serving Beelzebub is both heaven and hell...
I've been pretty excited for this one and oddly intrigued, it sounded like it was going to be hilarious but I still wasn't sure what to expect! I ended up being pleasantly surprised with this volume!
The colour pages are pretty and delicate, and kind of girly too! I actually really liked the art, the settings are beautifully drawn and the characters are actually kind of cute, and gorgeously drawn. Like if you like pretty characters, this is the manga for you! Plus the angel hair balls are freaking adorable!
Beelzebub sounds all badass, but she's actually quite ditzy so far, which is hilarious and Mullin is so over it. Mullin is having a bit of a crisis, because he was super stoked to work for his idol, the badass demon in charge...and then he found out she was actually kind of tiny and adorable, and has a penchant for soft and fluffy things.
There really is a brilliant cast of characters. Azazel is hilarious, he's all butch and scary looking but he likes stuffed animals and does a Love Actually when he talks with signs all the time. Astaroth is even funnier, he's obsessed with Beelzebub...like to fanboy levels. He's all worried because Mullins "boyfriend level" is high and he provided quite a few laughs. His guardian, Sargatanas, is freaking hilarious too, and I loved their interactions, it was such a contrast.
As Miss Beelzebub Likes is a funny, slice of life kind of manga, about demons and it actually kept my interest more than most slice of life's do! I found it hugely entertaining with plenty of fun characters and a tonne of laughs to be had...and quite possibly some hints of romance?!
