Kai just can't shake his feelings for Riko, no matter how hard he tries (or how many other girls he dates). When it comes to first loves, though, Riko knows better than most how hard it can be to let things go. With Suwa and Akemi's wedding fast approaching, will Riko be able to finally tell her most important people a heartfelt congratulations and move on...?
Thank the lord for Shimura, because she finally figures out what's going on with Kai and swiftly fills in Takaya, launching a brand new scheme and a new ship to ship.
We're in the phase now, were Riko is being bothered by how she feels about Kai and the fact she's bothered about his behaviour but doesn't know why, and she's trying to figure out her feelings. It's genuinely a little bit frustrating to see her misinterpret Kai and what he's doing and be so oblivious, I wanted to shout at her and I was looking at the friends like, "Come one...one of you step up and just say it....for the love of GOD".
We do get a lot of fun scenes in this volume, the beach, the study group and so on, and we have a lot of sweet moments between our main couple, don't worry! Riko also has to deal with the wedding which I though was nicely handled. It's been looming for a while, but it didn't take up too much time and wasn't over-dramatically done either.
Like I said, Riko is working on her feelings and why she's feeling a certain way and I thought we'd have another volume of this before anyone did anything but no. The end of the volume has left me screeching, all I'm saying is someone finally grew some balls and thus the romance continues to move along at a nice pace and should make for some interesting scenarios in the coming volume!
